Creative Technology Week

Creative Technology Week is a nationally recognised Celebration of Creative Technology, an initiative set up by Kinia to celebrate young people across the country, and their achievements in Creative Technology.

It offers hands-on workshops, showcasing cutting-edge advances in STEM, digital media, and computer science, inspiring students and educators alike.

During Creative Technology Week, we host Creative Tech Fest and Tech Féile. The events are for teachers, youth workers, and young people aged between 12 – 18 years, who are part of the Kinia Network.

Creative Technology Week 2024 took place from 15th – 22nd April. Joined by over 600 young people and their educators we held our two flagship youth events: Tech Féile on 19th April and Creative Tech Fest on 20th April in The Foundry at Google HQ in Dublin.

Kina Educator Techfest

Our Educator Techfest connects educators with experts and peers, providing them with practical skills, new ideas, and innovative technology to use in the classroom. These events are free of charge and celebrate the power of creative technology in education, driving future-focused learning and collaboration.

Educator TechFest 2024 brought together over 250 educators for an inspiring day of workshops, panel discussions, and tech talks, all designed to support innovative teaching practices and future-focused learning.

Highlights included a keynote address from Réaltra, hands-on STEM workshops, and an engaging pathways panel exploring career opportunities in technology.

The event also featured a thrilling H2GP car race, that saw the winner take home €5,000 worth of STEM equipment and training to their youth service.

TechFest 2024 was a celebration of collaboration, creativity, and the power of technology in education, offering participants practical tools, valuable connections, and fresh inspiration for the classroom.
